Best Video Links

Hello Guys,

Welcome to BVL ( Best Video Links )

After Getting frustrated from the crap posted by newbies ( to get views )  i have wasted a lot of my precious time because of the clickbaits (if you know, what it is) on youtube and other video platforms. I started saving the links of good videos available on the web, so that, i could save someone's ( yes, its yours ! ) time and energy.

Yes guys, it consumes hell lot of energy to exactly find what we are really searching for.

Also, the content available on the web is highly redundant and doesn't make a value addition if we are exploring a specific topic of interest. So, We should make sure, that each and every "click" that we "click" should be directed towards a quality content which could match our expectations.

There are huge number of great videos which are not shown on the first page of youtube because of low views and less knowledge  of the uploader regarding - tagging, keywords and other SEO, SEM techniques. As a result people are unaware of such great entertainment and knowledge resources.

People Generally make the search in a fixed pattern which can't get them what they are searching for.
Hence, you should have a bro like me who spends most of his time in exploring the web using special and secret techniques :P to bring out the most amazing and high quality content as per your need.

Just tell me what you are searching for and i promise. You, will always be happy with my recommendations.

Choose any topic of the world and let me create a list of BVL ( Best Video Links ) for you.

Any TOPIC means ANY TOPIC :D

Cheers... !

NEW New Years Resolutions

Welcome to January, the month of diets, detoxes and empty promises.

There is a lot of motivation wrapped up in January that is so exciting. It's a chance to start over, wipe away any negativity, and take a positive step towards our picture perfect lives.

I'd like to capture that positive motivation and build it up towards some new, more specific goals/resolutions for myself. And maybe you'd like to join me.  It is important to have goals that fit into various segments of your wellness wheel.  Making sure that you think about and consider your physical wellness, emotional wellness, spiritual wellness and intellectual wellness.  We don’t need to include all of these, but it is important to consider all in order to have a big picture view of our whole selves.

It is also important to get as specific as possible with your goals.  The more details you have; time, date, actual event, etc., the more likely you are to remember and complete them.

A SMART goal is: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-sensitive.

My two main goals this year fall into Physical and Emotional wellness.

I recently had a beautiful baby girl named Grace. She is now 8 months old. Which means that I am now looking at my post baby body in the mirror with a little less love and leniency, and a little more pressure and criticism.

The professional me wants to look at myself and say, "You look wonderful, you are still breast feeding and need those extra calories you are craving, and you will have time to get back to where you want to be. Don't be so hard on yourself. Love what your body has just done for you."

But the self-critical me is looking in the mirror, confused as to where these extra soft arms, tummy and thighs came from.  It is an interesting phenomenon when the self portrait in your mind doesn’t match the self portrait in the mirror.

My goal in physical wellness is to begin working out again, focused on strength training and yoga a few times a week until I finish breastfeeding my daughter.  Until then, I will grant myself Grace (pun intended) with my appetite and my body shape and composition.

Emotional wellness for me is all about personal connection and relationships.  With friends, family and loved ones.  When those relationships don’t get the time and nurturing that they need in order to create deep conversations, genuine connections and fun adventures, my emotional wellness begins to decline.

For me, my friendships have taken a spot on the back burner to make room for the new little life I am responsible for, and to make room for the time it takes to run a business solo.  I still connect with my friends, but it is not nearly as often or as focused as Id like it to be.

My goal in emotional wellness is to make the time to meet with a friend or group of friends without my daughter in tow at least twice a month.  I’d love for that to be dinner or drinks out with girlfriends or a workout class on the weekends or even a concert or game.

What are your SMART goals for 2015?  Which wellness segments are you focused on for the year?  The next best thing to make a goal happen is to SHARE IT!  Share your goals here to put them out into the universe for commitment.

Happy New Year!

Mediterranean Diet is More than Olives & Nuts

The “Mediterranean diet” has been popular since the 90’s when Harvard did a health presentation based on the diet of Greece and Southern Italy.  This olive oil, tomato and wine diet is what we now refer to as “The Mediterranean Diet” which many authors have cashed in on with books and kitschy programs.

It popped up again this week after another cohort study came out in the New England Journal of Medicine.  The study done in Spain followed 7000+ people (about half men, half women, aged 55-80) and monitored over the course of around 5 years, how many of those people had a “cardiovascular event”.  Some ate a “Mediterranean diet” supplemented with olive oil.  Some ate a Mediterranean diet supplemented with nuts.  The others were just advised to lower their fat intake.

In the end, there were a total of 288 cardio events (heart attack, etc) that occurred out of the 7000+ people that were followed.

The group eating the Mediterranean diet plus nuts had 83 events.

The group eating the Mediterranean diet plus extra virgin olive oil had 96 events.

The group told to lower their dietary fat had 109 events.

They confirmed what other studies had shown and what experts have thought for a while now.  Eating a Mediterranean diet lowers your risk of cardio trouble.

Interestingly enough, when a reporter from NPR asked some Spaniards about the study, they agreed – their food is excellent.  But, they also said that even more than the types of food they eat, it’s the climate.

They put more emphasis on following the climate; eating foods that grow in season where they are.  They stated that growing or importing food out of season loses nutrient content and that people were originally designed to eat according to their own climates.  They stressed slowing down to enjoy your food, eating locally and getting out in the sunshine and salt water.

For us Seattleites, we may not have the sun and salt water as much as the Spaniards, but we could do a better job of embracing our climate and eating according to it.

Its March here in Seattle.  The weather is cold and the sun is just starting to peek out more often.  The ground is starting to warm a bit, tulips are blooming and rain is becoming less frequent.  Ideally for us, we need to be eating cauliflower, finishing up apple season, enjoying leeks and onions for a couple more months and start looking forward to asparagus, kale, rhubarb and baby spinach that’s about to be ready for April.

PCC has a great interactive Seasonal Produce Calendar so you can check out what else is fresh:  http://www.pccnaturalmarkets.com/products/produce/inseason/

So eat your tomatoes, dress with your olive oil, pop a few nuts and drink your wine, but don’t forget to stand in the sunshine and remember that foods, like flowers, have a season.
